"I came here Sunday morning for breakfast, because they have vegan breakfast options. The place was packed, but I got a table within 5 minutes. I ordered their plant based breakfast which was hashbrowns, vegetables, and vegan cheese and chorizo, with sourdough toast. It was one of the best vegan breakfasts I've ever had, and I live in St Paul. It was an unexpected surprise in this small town. The service was great. The coffee was terrible, but typical of places like this, so not unexpected. After breakfast, I had to go get some stronger coffee. If I make it back to Decorah, I'll stop here again."

"Couldn’t be happier with my experience at Family table. This place attracts people from all walks of life. College students, college professors, blue collar, white collar; everyone comes to the family table for a no fuss experience. The service was wonderful. My coffee cup was never empty for more than a minute. It seems like many regulars come here as they were greeted by name. We were just passing through and felt like we were treated like family. The food was hot and delicious. Your typical diner fare. Prices were super affordable so my wife and I also ordered a Belgian waffle to split. You can definitively feed your entire family here without breaking the bank. Highly recommend the family table for all looking for a good meal!"

"I had the hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. The beef was not sliced paper thin like most restaurants. It was thicker and meatier. The gravy was delicious and the potatoes were very good. A sandwich like my mother might have made. She never had a knife sharp enough to slice a roast paper thin and it didn't matter. I have had breakfast here several times and I have never been disappointed. I'll be back."

"This is a great, old school diner. Lots of regulars. This morning I had the biscuit and gravy with bacon. I would consider myself somewhat of a biscuit and gravy connoisseur, and it certainly did not disappoint. The bacon was also quite flavorful. Highly recommend it for a traditional full breakfast."
